Steps to reproduce:

Only way to restore functionality is to close the app and start again.

I’m not sure this is solved in version 1.5. But i wanted to finish and release it after so Many Months of work. I Will look into it in the weeks to come

I have a different flavor of the problem: It seems that the app doesn't save its settings. So whenever the app is restarted, it sends on ALL Midi channels instead of the one I have previously selected.

MaartenWL commented 4 years ago

The midi-channel which is selected is only used for the audition keyboard on the patch library. Other information is send to the Virus using SYSEX messages. these kind of messages do not use the concept of channels. So the question is: What exactly is send over all channels?

bolau commented 4 years ago

Ah sorry, my bad. It's not about channels, but about Midi ports. I set the app the use a specific port. And the app keeps forgetting this setting and sends data on all 16 ports my interface has, which causes a mess.

MaartenWL commented 4 years ago

So to be sure: You selected under 'step two' one of your midi ports, which is not selected anymore after you restart?

bolau commented 4 years ago

yes

and sometimes even without restarting. I'll try to narrow this down and make a video...
