NVIDIA controller preset error with Apply on Startup: "Error applying NVIDIA-preset (SetDisplayConfig): NVAPI ERROR #292

Hi, I am receiving the following error when booting up PC. I have an NVIDIA controller preset with all settings Included (except HDMI Settings) and Apply on Startup selected.

Here is error log:

I just restarted and now I'm getting this error:

If you apply this preset manually (after the pc has been running for a while), does the error not come up? Maybe it's something to do with applying the preset too early after system startup and the displays have not been detected properly (either by Windows or NVIDIA or both).

Hi, this issue went away but has returned again on 9.8.0.1. I am able to apply the preset after startup without getting the error. Here is the latest error log:
