ColorControl crashes often and randomly, without throwing a notification #339

I leave my Win10 PC running nearly 7 days a week without reboots if i'm able to, and I use ColorControl to toggle to a 2nd PC on another HDMI port during the day for my regular job. At least once a week, ColorControl has stopped running and the system tray icon is gone.

Looking at the debug log that Colorcontrol writes for itself shows nothing helptul. The last thing logged in one particular case is "PoweredOffBy: Unknown, PoweredOffViaApp: False" and then nothing logged until many hours later when I manually re-launch the app. I have the app set to run as a windows service with elevated permissions.

I'd love to understand more about how to narrow this issue down, and i'm curious whether anyone else sees similar behavior. I'm using an nvidia 4090 and an LG 42" C2 OLED.

I have the same issue i think, colorcontrol seem to stop after a certain time. I can't find anything interesting in the log to help unfortunately...

This happened to me yesterday. I had put the PC to sleep but noticed the screen did not go to standby as expected.

I turned the PC back on and noticed also that ColorControl was not running and the tray icon had disappeared.

The last few entries of the log:
