Random Pixel Appears on Desktop #360

Honestly not sure how to diagnose or describe this issue. I updated to 9.9.0.1 and have had a random white pixel show up on my desktop. It seems to be some sort of ghosting based on the top left corner of the application's window. I can move it by snapping the ColorControl window to a location and restarting the program. I've provided some example images below: image image image

If application is minimized, or in taskbar, it will appear like this in the Alt Tab, showing this pixel. image

This is very strange, but might be caused by the hidden window that is used to process window messages. I haven't seen it myself, but I'll check if I can solve this somehow.

Just as an update and context, I'm on Windows 10 and the only program I believe could be related is Windows Power Toys Snap that's bringing the hidden window into view. I'm still having this issue, but my current remedy is placing the window corner slightly off screen and closing it to make the pixel not visible. Feel free to let me know if you need any additional info or want me to try anything.

I also use Power Toys Fancy Zones* with a custom area and keep CC snapped in a corner :) Maybe you're onto something.

Thanks for the chime-in. I got the name mixed up, it's called Windows Power Toys FancyZones just for correction. I tried turning off FancyZones and the dot does go away/not appear anymore. Looks like it is the cause of the pixel. I'll try to see if I can figure out which FancyZones setting is causing it, if any.

I think I found out. Under FancyZones settings, Windows > Window behavior > Move newly created windows to their last known zone. @sebid Could you try disabling it on your end, restarting CC, and seeing if the issue goes away? I've also included below all my settings in case it doesn't go away and one of the settings I don't use also causes it. image For now, aside from my initial remedy of putting the window partially off screen, it looks like you can also open CC with the setting off and turn it back on once CC is launched to stop the pixel from appearing.
