Switching nVidia controller profiles causes NVCP to revert to 4k60 #368

Something has changed recently presumably with new CC version. When you apply an nVidia Controller profile, the NVCP reverts to 4k60 under Ultra HD section when using my LG TV (native 4k120). You have to manually change refresh rate back to 120 Hz. I have tried including and excluding the setting from the profiles but it makes no difference.

I am experiencing the same issue. Every time I apply a custom profile, I am reset to 4k60Hz under UltraHD resolutions instead of the PC 4k120Hz. I wasn't having this issue a month ago; it only just started happening recently. I also tried including the 120Hz refresh rate, but it gets reset to 60Hz no matter what settings I use, and I have to manually change it back to 120Hz each time.

Version 9.9.0.0 did reset all Nvidia presets to 60Hz, you'll have to reconfigure them due too using a new API. But if you did this already and the presets show another refresh rate than 60Hz, there might be something else going on. Maybe changing the display scaling helps. And what happens if you change the refresh rate on the "Current settings" item directly?

Hi, thank you for the response. I do have all the profiles set to 120Hz included, but every time I switch, it resets my resolution to 4K under UHD and refresh rate to 60Hz regardless (the custom profiles still say 120Hz; it applies all the other profile settings, but my current settings' refresh rate stays at 60Hz). I can change the refresh rate manually from the current settings as you suggested, and that temporarily works and gets me to 120Hz. But as soon as I switch profiles, restart ColorControl, launch an exclusive fullscreen game, or restart my PC, it's set back to 60Hz and 4K under the UHD selections in NVCP. I went back and read through the recent patch notes and came to a similar conclusion that maybe changing display scaling settings might help. I tested every single one yesterday, but I still have the same issue. Hope this all helps.

Hello, Yes, I reset all of them to refresh rate 120 Hz. I also tried recreating all of them fresh but they all revert back to 60 Hz once they are applied. If I change the refresh rate on Current Settings manually it works but will revert back to 60 Hz after a restart.

Same thing, all profiles has been created in 9.9.0.1

Downgrading to 9.8.2.1 has fixed the issue for me if you are looking for a temp solution until a proper fix comes.
