Request: Extension of the C2M2 model #10

As part of our CFDE base award we planned to submit additional data to the CFDE portal using C2M2 which is currently not covered in the model. Namely protein site specific information (PTMs). This will require changes to the C2M2 model.

Who best to contact to discuss these changes?

Hi @ReneRanzinger the modified C2M2 package with the PTM information can be uploaded to the new portal. For now, feel free to add the PTM information where it makes most sense to you. Mano and Shankar are the people to contact regarding changing the model to support this new requirement. There is a plan to revive the Ontology Working Group where such changes will be discussed.

Thanks, @AviMaayan and @ReneRanzinger . Yes, @ReneRanzinger. Can you and I and may be a few others from your group and ours (as needed) meet sometime to go over what changes in the C2M2 schema will be needed. I would prefer to go through an RFC process (as part of OWG) for significant changes so that if another DCC might have similar data now or in the near future, then we can consider their opinion as well. For Ref: @mano-at-sdsc .
