It’s Work fine on MacBook Air With this config
Sorry for my English i’m French
Your English is great. I can’t criticize. You speak 2 languages, I’m not great at 1.
Where do I get the username and password for the MQTT server? Do I need to register somewhere?

I think I'm missing something...still can not make it work... how can I make sure my mosquitto is running de sonoff?¿ because if I change anything like ip, name or pasword on my config.file doesn't make any difference on my homebridge, still shows on iphone. So I think it's not getting the data from mqtt. I need to install mosquitto or mqtt plugin for homebridge?¿ sorry...i've been 2 days allready trying to figure out with no result...

If i'm understanding this correctly, you don't need your own server if you use a public one like iot.eclipse.org
the thing is that I'm quite new to all this...i installed mosquitto on my rasp wich i also use for homebridge, so i'm using a local broker, i guess...maybe it will be easyer using a public mqtt, i will give it a try, thanks for the quick reponse!
Exactly i use a public Mqtt, it work fine
Just configure tasmota config and Homebridge config.json with public mqtt 😉
Okk, i’ll give it a try, thanks

Do I need a username and password for the public server? I’m using iot.eclipse.org.
No need username and password 😉
Verify on tasmota console if mqtt is connected...
Ok, last question... do i use the MAC address of my SonOff device? Or must it be the serial number?
it does not work what am I doing wrong?

I can not make it work eather...mqt works on the console, homebridge shows initializing my switch, but home app doesn’t do anything...it just turns on and off but with no effect on real life...
Maybe we need to flash our Sonoff devices with a diff firmware?

I dont think that should make a difference, because the firmware is allready Tasmota, i’m sure I’m missing something but after turning everything upside down, still dont have a clue...

I finally did it!! My mistake was that the topic (the first one at tasmoga mqtt settings, not full topic), was not matching the one in my config.json, because of a capital letter...working perfect now in home app! Thanks for the help!

Wait... can you explain slower? Preferably with hand puppets and crayons? lol I feel dumb, it doesn't seem like it should be complicated, but i'm still not getting it. Could you do me a favor a post a copy of your configs? How are you seeing the settings of your sonoff device?
can you also make a print screen of it, it can help me

So, thats the mqtt configuration, user and password was set automatic, you dont need to do anything at iot website, just that parameters on your mqtt configuration. On the other side "accessory": "mqtt-switch-tasmota", "switchType": "outlet",
"name": "led cuisine",
"url": "mqtt://iot.eclipse.org",
"username": "MQTT USER NAME",
"password": "MQTT PASSWORD",
"topics": {
"statusGet": "stat/led/RESULT",
"statusSet": "cmnd/led/POWER",
"stateGet": "tele/led/STATE"
},
"onValue": "ON",
"offValue": "OFF",
"activityTopic": "tele/led/LWT",
"activityParameter": "Online",
"manufacturer": "ITEAD",
"model": "Sonoff",
"serialNumberMAC": "MAC OR SERIAL NUMBER OR EMPTY"
}
This is a copy paste of nuancedegreg’s config.json, this one worked perfect for me, the only things I changed:
-“Name” whatever name you want for your sonoff
With this id sudenlly started working and now I can get Siri to work! Lol.
Anything that you dont understand, feel free to ask me.

I was triyng to paste a capture of my tasmota mqtt config but i can’t.
So the thing that you need to change on mqtt is only Host: iot.eclipse.org Port: 1883 Topic: whatever name you want, this is the one that has to match in your hombridge config.json All the rest i just left default. One more thing, in configuration/configure other, I put Belkin wemo.
Wait... there's another configuration file? "tasmota mqtt config"? Or when you reference that, are you talking about the regular config file under .homebridge?
When i say mqtt config, i refer to the mqtt configuration inside tasmotas page (your sonoff’s ip)
