homebrew download of gcc failed #143

the Macaulay installation process failed for me with the message: url: (56) LibreSSL SSL_read: error:02FFF036:system library:func(4095):Connection reset by peer, errno 54

Error: macaulay2: Failed to download resource "gcc" Download failed: https://ghcr.io/v2/homebrew/core/gcc/blobs/sha256:d91d7d7af4b16d3b8727a71ee77ce725160d5259924efac20b4458921b126bb1

This seems to have been transitory; I tried again after a few hours, and there was no such error.
