Error in making symlinks for emacs major mode #226

I tried to install the newest version of Macaulay via brew but got the following error message.

brew install Macaulay2/tap/M2
Warning: macaulay2/tap/macaulay2 1.24.05 is already installed, it's just
not linked.
To link this version, run:
brew link macaulay2
schreyer@Frank-Olaf-Schreyers-MacBook-Pro-2 ~ % brew link macaulay2
Linking /usr/local/Cellar/macaulay2/[1.24.05.](http://1.24.0.5/)..
Error: Could not symlink share/emacs/site-lisp/macaulay2
/usr/local/share/emacs/site-lisp is not writable.
