Thank you for the article, it explains a lot of different behaviors I stumbled on in my life. The Availability Heuristic phenomenon you describe often combines with satisfaction and gratification when we're exposing our pov to someone who doesn't know as much about that subject.

Lately, I observed that the confidence we have about knowing or not a subject, is not a feeling that we've created. It's a feeling that we get from the others. If people arround you are proud of the investment and work you've put in a project, then you'll be more confident and think the knowledge you have about that specific subject is something good and you'll keep that piece of information as "source of truth".

Especially in computer science and programming. You don't choose if what you've learned is cool or usefull unless someone who knows more than you in another or this subject tells you "that's futuristic and cool".

As my iaido master says, "it's not wrong, but it's not right yet".
