INS will initiate a new position update if a new DME signal is acquired after DME updating has stopped due to a prior out of range condition. This leads to an unrecoverable failure of the INS and any associated INS in triple mix mode. current CIVA implementation fails to do reasonableness tests for distance, bearing rate, and closure velocity computations to prevent this issue from occurring per the CIV-A manual (image included)
