I was writing a loader from ob (to allow manual editing of a navmesh generated
by recast). In order to feed dtCreateNavMeshData() I had to copy
buildMeshAdjacency() from Recast.cpp, so it might be useful to add it to the
recast API (I took a look at blender's integration of recast, they've added it
to Recast.h too).
