Hi,

I'm using super with Jamf. Updates work great but upgrades are failing with the following line: Thu Mar 09 19:05:29 imac super[26774]: Error: Installation of macOS update/upgrade timed out after 600 seconds, trying again in 7200 seconds.

What version of Jamf... what version of macOS?

Hi Kevin,

Installer is downloaded and process seems to start but I end up with a message saying the installation failed.

I'm currently aware of an MDM workflow issue affecting Jamf Pro 10.44+ with macOS 12.3+ systems. (Older versions of Jamf Pro and older versions of macOS do not have this issue. For example, even if you have Jamf Pro 10.44+, macOS 11.0-12.2 do not exhibit the same issue.)

Specifically this is a Jamf-side issue due to the new "OS Update Reporting" feature described here: https://learn.jamf.com/bundle/jamf-pro-release-notes-10.44.0/page/New_Features_and_Enhancements.html

I don't have a solution just yet, and it may in-fact be something Jamf has to resolve on their side.

Does this mean that pushing the upgrade with an MDM command from Jamf will also fail?

I am also experiencing something similar with a 13.0 to 13.2.1 updates.

Jamf Pro 10.44.1-t1677509507 macOS 13.0

super.log mdmWorkflow.log mdmCommand.log asuList.log asu.log

@julienvs It's inconsistent. But because super uses the Jamf API instead of the Jamf web interface, it seems to fail even more often.

Hi Macjutsu, just sharing that I have had the same experience: "Installation of macOS update/upgrade timed out after 600 seconds, trying again in 3600 seconds."

macOS 12.6.3, trying to go to 13.2.1 Jamf Pro 10.44.1-t1677509507 super 2.log
