Can't install pdflatex in ma5 #213

Question

I am reinstalling Madgraph and related components including ma5. Installation is successful. However, there is a problem with pdflatex and latex. I am not able to install it from the ma5 interface.

Hi @astro-avi, ma5 does not install latex you need to do it by yourself.

I tried doing that through install latex. But it is not allowing me to now. Shows following message

MA5-ERROR: the syntax is not correct.

MA5: Syntax: install

MA5: Download and install a MadAnalysis component from the official site.

MA5: List of available components: samples zlib fastjet delphes delphesMA5tune PAD PADForMA5tune PADForSFS

How should I install these packages then?

Yes, because Ma5 does not install latex anymore. You can go to the latex website, choose which package you need for your OS and install it.
