This project alongside other projects which I wrote in C# use the old .NET framework because project mono on linux can open .NET framework winforms applications. The upcoming MAUI seems to be able to work with both Windows and Linux (through community support) and aside the use of newer versions of .NET it might offer and other input methods for the apps (I hope)
