I am trying to get everything set up to use sqanti2, but I'm getting errors after this line of the setup:
conda install -n anaCogent3 -c bioconda bx-python
Error message:
UnsatisfiableError: The following specifications were found
to be incompatible with the existing python installation in your environment:
Specifications:
- bx-python -> python[version='>=3.8,<3.9.0a0']
Your python: python=3.7
If python is on the left-most side of the chain, that's the version you've asked for.
When python appears to the right, that indicates that the thing on the left is somehow
not available for the python version you are constrained to. Note that conda will not
change your python version to a different minor version unless you explicitly specify
that.
I am currently using python 3.7.2. Any suggestions, or do you know what might be happening here? I also tried with python 3.8, and that gave me a similar looking error, but for pysam.
I am kind of new to conda environments, so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Any guidance? I am using conda 4.8.3 and on CentOS 7.
