Likely Inter 4.0 as part of the free option. Pick a nice serif to pair it with.

Commercial Type for fancy options.

Maybe Blanco by Foster Type

If we want to recommend a paid font, it might be best to self-host the free option and then provide documentation for how to swap it out.

Cool, that sounds good. Self-hosting seems simpler than whatever cloud hosting individual typeface foundries would offer. Most I've bought just give you a zip file download.
