You do realize that the discord.js-selfbot-v13 package used in this project is open source it is not the one that a creator made showing it being malware. You can view the source code your self at the link below.

but the general rule is "Just because something is open source does not mean its not malware" discord.js-selfbot-v13 has been exposed lots of times for having malware.

I think the OP of this issue thought that discord.js-selfbot-v13 was a malicious dep since there are copies of it around the internet, but the one that I see being requested leads to the right one. ( Source on what I think the OP is thinking of https://youtu.be/NEFwe4873sw?t=63 )

After looking into the code of the aforementioned github repo for discord.js-selfbot-v13 I see no reason why it is reasonable to believe this package contains malware.

Note. I have not looked into this repo just the discord.js-selfbot-v13 repo
