There is a larger feature called outline mode which this could fall under. Will be considered when work begins on it.

Would you consider extending the outline of a document to sub-include the outline of an embedded document when using flow?

I think it could be best done if the child outline levels were disregarded in favor of the parent's. In this manner, the feature would be rendering it as follows:
Please also consider doing so in a manner where interacting with the outline doesn't jump to a new document (i.e., the child document).
