Show a subtle gray overlay (actually 4) on the non-selected-CU part of the page, instead of putting a mild gray color on the selected CU's overlay.

Would look nicer.

Plus can be used to enable a feature for better "focus" where the user can increase the darkness of the overlay on the non-selected-CU part of the page.
