standardize format of date in log #61

Date in repo log is like this:

08/22/09
ie
mm/dd/yy

This is hard to read for non-americans.
Please either use ISO format yy/mm/dd or pick up from the OS X system prefs
what the date format should be.

Try setting the date format in Preferences.

The default date format has been ISO 8601 since r90 (before 1.1b1).
