SVG transparency does not display properly in PDF #421

In book 1234000001752, Figure 11 shows up semi-transparent in Chimera, but not in the PDF. (There are a couple of other images with the same problem, but this one shows the effect most dramatically.) File name in repository is 04-1-plaid.svg; I cannot attach it as github doesn't like SVG.
