Just wanted to ask if anyone had built a working model of oxikit so far?

if this has been done our team can work on the duplication part with locally available resources. thank you .

Keep up the team SPirit lets stay united and fight back.

we've a few labs in advanced prototyping stage, the progress will be shared soon. Keep an eye out on the social channel, thanks!

Hi, thanks for your interest to join the M19 Initiative!

As a quick structural suggestion, we would really urge you to allocate one group that you could contribute maximum to and join that so that all our efforts are streamlined.

Here are the links to the different groups. We have also described what they will do in the current and future scenarios of this project. Let us know if you would need any more information. Thanks.

M19 Oxikit General Group - https://t.me/m19oxikit

  1. Engineering - prototyping and knowledge sharing in local cities ( https://t.me/joinchat/mynzFzGAXshmMzFl)
  2. Sourcing - People mapping vendors across India for BOM ( https://t.me/joinchat/VERXvoxUj_s5N2Q1)
  3. Supply & Demand Mapping - Need for the hospitals and matching the demand through local network (https://t.me/joinchat/PA7ejQt09Pc5NWNl)
  4. Local Labs/Community Mapping - Activating more labs across India to start making (https://t.me/joinchat/RzEnvPltryRmMDY1)
  5. Certifications and Testing - Understanding the approval process and lab that can test the prototype for us - Concentration of gases/Litres per minute (flow rate) - (https://t.me/joinchat/UUaAxKTECbBjNjVl)
  6. Fundraising - Raising funds for prototyping and later for scaling ( https://t.me/joinchat/1ozYCA_WjIM4MWY1)
  7. Documentation and Translation - Help in documenting the engineering process and also translating it in regional languages ( https://t.me/joinchat/Gy_bIUu5IDQ0ZTdl)

Welcome to the M19 Collective!

M19Collective is a collection of makerspaces, community hubs, industries

and individuals making a collaborative effort to foster open innovation and especially open health around the country using decentralised approach and knowledge sharing!

Our current focus - How to make Oxygen Concentrators and knowledge share in an open source manner to make these locally to support local ecosystems.

You can help in one of the following ways :

Register here: https://airtable.com/shr0qwVso6p6hzWB7 to contribute in an individual capacity. We can connect you to your local labs to start contributing.

Start a lab: https://airtable.com/shrr3HrBkFzvASoD3 to build #M19Oxikit in your town with our help. We will be onboarding new hubs this week with information pertaining to skills, tools and what you will need to start making these in your regions.

Donate: https://www.ketto.org/fundraiser/m19-oxygen-concentrators-make-in-india to accelerate the #M19Oxikit builds in your community and save lives.

If you have done any of the above please join the M19 Oxikit Kit Telegram Group: https://t.me/m19collective for real time updates and daily catch up calls at 9 PM IST

Charter for the M19 Collective

In effect from April 25th 2021

Mission:

create an open source decentralised platform, upon which users can build hardware products and solve robust, industry & community-specific problems.

create an open source, technical community to benefit the open hardware ecosystem and share knowledge with each other for faster, better and frugal innovation and scale

promote participation of leading members of the ecosystem, including individuals, makers, hackers, small & large scale industries, service providers, academia and end users; and

provide a neutral ground for open innovation, experimentation, knowledge and community development.

Here is an opportunity to think beyond what we can do today especially in the Indian context to really empower, educate and truly MAKE IN INDIA - for the community and by the community!

What the M19 Collective abides by

Constructive participation and knowledge sharing with the members of the collective

Not to profiteer unduly from the projects and solutions developed and open sourced by the members of the collective

Providing sustainable financial model for the members of the collective to make, share and also create impact especially in crisis situations (capped limit to sell will be twice the cost of making the product)

Support and promote open innovation

What you get from being part of the M19 Collective

Open and free knowledge sharing

Upskilling opportunities

Matchmaking between supply and demand

Verified BOM for hardware sourcing for open projects

Negotiated and verified vendor list for sourcing at good pricing

Access to mentorship, guidance from domain experts of the collective

Collective funding & grant opportunities to prototype and scale the solutions

A network of good intended individuals and organisations that want to create grassroot level impact not only in a crisis situation but also for a better future of innovation in India

Thanks,

M19Collective
