Capital Vol. 2 Chapter 20 #6

In Google docs you get most of the maths. Although anything graphic has problems. The footnotes seem to disappear into the ether. The numbers in the text become hyphens.

Correction. The footnotes are there and are live.

Can you edit odt so graphics etc look ok as in original docx?

I saved a docx file as odt and then reopened it in Word 2016. It looks identical to the original docx.

I have just downloaded Open Office and opened the odt file. Graphics looking messy. I know very little about working with graphics in word processing programs. I'll learn up about it in the next week or so. capital_v2_ch20_part1.zip

Fine.

Aim is for Google Docs odt version on Google Drive to look same as MS Word docx version and to print similar .pdf to as the .pdf that MS Word docx version prints.

Editing offline may be easier but still need to check against actual Google Docs as the typo corrections will be done to that online.

Google Docs is based on Open Office so should be ok to use that but NOT certain.

BTW Libre Office is better than original Open Office and probably closer to Google Docs.
