Business Name reference details #7

I thought ABN was Aust Business Name but it is Number.

I don't understand whether or not an Inc Association is taxable and/or needs an ABN.

A Business Name is only $84 for three years so no harm applying to be safe with omitting Inc.

Seems like a "charity" should have an ABN. Not sure if we become a business by collecting donations or selling publications or entering into contracts with publishers.

Have impression that getting ABN might be required for Business Name.

As far as I can make out from the regulations and explanatory statement of them anybody can just use a domain name as a business name and this would solve the problem of not including Inc.

Bizarre since details of domain name owner are usually obscured by privacy trustee in "whois" lookup so means there is no way at all to easily trace the owner.

Better ask them to confirm by email.
