Hmm... the only thing I can think of that would cause this is that it's not
finding
the data files. Do you have a "tyrian" folder on the root of your SD card? Is
it
capitalized at all?

If other apps you downloaded from HBB didn't work either, then it must be
something
on your end. This is the only instance of this error anyone has posted, ever
(let
alone on the latest version), and I would think people would post it if it were
a big
issue like this. I would suggest backing up, reformatting, and reinstalling
your SD
card stuff, and start by manually installing each application fresh, not using
HBB,
to see if that might help. And make sure the card is FAT format, not NTFS,
using
that SD formatter utility (search for it, I think there's an article on
WiiBrew).

I'm having the same issue. Black screen then back to the HBC Launcher. It
happens only from my USB devices though. Both my 1TB Hard drive (formatted
350MB Fat32 and the Rest WBFS) and my 4GB Kingston Data Traveler which I
freshly formatted with Win7. It works fine from an SD card I had lying around
which is great but it would be nice to keep everything on my USB hard drive.

I seem to be having trouble with some other Homebrew which I remember working
before. Specifically Quake gives an error regarding being unable to access the
filesystem. Dosbox is codedumping on me right away and a couple others are
crashing. Plenty of others work fine though and I'm not sure why or if it's
related at all.

System menu 4.1
HBC 1.0.8 running on IOS58
All IOS's updated to the current latest. Some of them are patched. DOP-Mii
report attached in case its helpful.
I installed a virgin IOS 36 to see if it helped and it didn't change anything.

I think (not completely sure) I ran this from my USB hardrive before but I dont
have a clue what version. I tried 1.6 with the same results.

I agree with your last post that this is probably something on our end. I think
my HDD is 100% compatibly with all IOS's or methods being used for wii
homebrew. Is there a specific IOS this game uses that I could try
Downgrading/unpatching to try and get to the root of this issue? Or could you
do a new compile to be compatible with IOS58? Any thoughts would be helpful as
this is my favorite homebrew game.

I meant to say, I think my HDD may *not* be 100% compatible with all IOS's or
methods being used for wii homebrew. That doesn't explain the same issue being
present with my thumb drive but it could be just bad luck..

I am also having this issue when trying to load from USB...works fine if the
data files are on SD, but I thought there was USB support now? Or did I
misunderstand something? Just fresh installed with HBB, this is the only app I
am having issue with running from USB. Does the SD card have to be removed
maybe?
