How can I download comments I left under other people's posts? #350

I find the UI somewhat confusing, but I thought I set it up right for it to download all my posts and comments and nobody else's, but the end result was that it downloaded my posts and everyone's comments under them, but no comments I left under other people's posts.

Could you advise about the correct configuration?

Unfortunately, at this time Downloader For Reddit does not support downloading your comments from other peoples posts in the way that I believe you are trying to accomplish. The only way your comments will be downloaded from other users posts is if those users are in your user download list or the subreddits to which the posts are made are in your subreddit download list.

For downloading comments to your own posts: if you only want to download comments that you yourself made, set the option next to "Download" under the "Comment Download Settings" section to "DOWNLOAD ONLY AUTHOR".
