External subtitles do not work for Telstra T-Box #48

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Playing any .mp4 file with external (.srt) subtitle file (same name as the
.mp4 file) - it says "External Subtitles" in the name in brackets (see attached)
2. Also, playing the .mp4 file in the Transcode folder tries to play it for
about 20secs before showing an error (see attached)
3. Tried toggling the "Remux videos with tsMuxer when possible..." setting in
UMS but had no effect

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: After the movie starts rendering on the T-box, when clicking
the options button, there should be another tile next to the 'Display' tile
which says 'Subtitles' which you can go into and toggle subtitles.
What I see instead: No 'Subtitle' tile appears next to 'Display' tile.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
UMS version: 2.5.1
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried this with multiple .mp4 files all with the external .srt subtitle
file (which is located in the same folder as the video and also has the same
name, except for the extension).
I tried reading the debug log and noticed that there's sometimes a line which
says "No encoding detected for (.srt) file" or something along those lines; for
other files it says "Detected encoding for (.srt) is Windows-1252".
I've clean installed UMS 2.5.1.
I've attached debug info.

Have you tried setting subtitle language options? Try going to the Transcoding
Settings tab, then the Subtitles settings sub-tab on that page, then setting
the "Audio/subtitles language priority" to "eng, off;*,eng;*,und"
