Unconfirmed transaction staying in ( tx list ) display forever. #131

I was sent, by someone, a small amount that was never confirmed.

It was sent on Dec. 19th so obviously it will never confirm, but it stays at
the top of the display in the transaction list, and now there is even a message
which says, "This payment should become spendable in a few minutes", even
though it was almost a month ago. It is annoying seeing this dead transaction
at the top of the transaction ( "Received" and "Both" ) list every time I open
the app.

You should allow one to cull non-confirmable transactions like this from the
list, or at least don't keep it at the top of the list and let it scroll
downward out of sight ( after a certain amount of time has passed perhaps )
with the rest of the transactions.

What version of Bitcoin Wallet are you using?

Version 2.39

On what Android version and what phone?

Android 4.2.1 on a Nexus 7 tablet.

If you have problems with particular transactions, what is your Bitcoin
address? If you happen to have transaction IDs, please state them as well.

If you want to look at that particular transaction it is here:
https://blockchain.info/address/1LZ1haA8oVhKPHCeC6xRAjunZm6XKRr1rt

When I look at the "transaction details" in the android wallet it says the
receiver was 1HCRNnDcfjsadbpnuace6ag8fLvudeGDxu. That is not my address and is
only one of the many addresses that were sent to from the only send from that
1LZ1haA8oVhKPHCeC6xRAjunZm6XKRr1rt address.

My address in that transaction is 1CfWuuTkfSUKju4ALuoVHgS8uGmZ5h7bpk

But actually I don't care about the 0.00016 BTC I should have got, or why it
never confirmed. I just would like that transaction to not stay displayed at
the top of the "Bitcoins received" display in the android wallet.

Thanks

There is currently no way to remove pending tx from your wallet. You can reset
your blockchain, if you want to get rid of it.

It would be interesting to know how this (invalid?) tx got into your wallet.
Can you state the transaction id (=hash in details)? Can you remember if the
app crashed when it got into your wallet?

As of v3.35, there is now a protection against dust spam. It will also clean up
already received dust.
