android phone broken #272

Hi I installed the bitcoin wallet for my samsung phone but the phone was 
broken. I have the file containing the private key and am wondering how to 
transfer those bitcoins. Pls help me. Thanks a lot!

What file do you have? What's it called? You can restore backups from the 
safety menu in the app.

I have the Bitcoin private keys. The problem is now I cannot open my phone and 
it's broken. Thanks for helping out! I am very anxious.

Hi Thanks. The file is called" The bitcoin wallet keys". Can you specify how to 
move the coins. I am kind of new to this. Thanks a lot. I attache the email i 
received when I install the android bitcoin wallet.

This file is the using the old backup format. Can you put the file on your 
SD-Card (in/on the mobile phone) into the Download folder? So the full path on 
your phone is

/sdcard/Download/bitcoin-wallet-keys-2014-xx-xx

Next, use Options > Safety > Restore wallet and pick the file. Enter your 
password and replay the blockchain.
