I saw this article but was unable to locate the files they specified using OI
File manager. They mentioned that I need root access on my phone to search
/mnt/secure/asec but I have not rooted my phone so I think it might be a waste
to buy Root Explorer to search this location.
Do you have any suggestions to get around my phone not being rooted or other
ways to resolve my problem? Do you think it would be possible to remove this
file via a usb connection and the debugger? It's been a while since I've done
anything like that so I'm not sure of the process at this point.

I resolved the problem using a suggestion from the user comments from that
link. Basically, unmount the SD card, install the bitcoin wallet, mount the sd
card, using the application manager, move the app to the sd card.
Looks like its working now.

I guess this is quite risky for your wallet file. Did you manage to keep your
balance and your Bitcoin address?

This was for a new install. There was no existing wallet file to care for.
