[SOCKS] Proxy Support #5

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Anonymity and identity control is important for many Bitcoin users. Connection
information from mobile devices can be particularly revealing to a dedicated
attacker. For these reasons, bitcoin-wallet should support SOCKS proxies, like
the official Bitcoin application.

I would like to see SOCKS proxy support as well. It would be nice to use this
along with Orbot.

This could be done with bitcoinj 0.11, but I think the right fix for this bug
is probably to just enable Tor for everyone by default.
