Program won't exit and transfers are not relayed after some time of usage

- What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start program
2. Use it a while
3. Send bitcoins
4. Long-press "back" button to exit the program

- What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The program should exit and the indicator icon should disappear.
The indicator icon remains and show status "connected" but the transaction does 
not appear on http://blockchain.info/ 
"Starting" the program again it shows normal behaviour but the transaction 
still does not appear on http://blockchain.info/
Killing the program with the task manager and restarting it makes the 
transaction appear immediately on http://blockchain.info/

- What version of Bitcoin Wallet are you using? On what Android version and
what phone? Don't just state 'most recent', this is not enough info.
Bitcoin Wallet 2.01 from the Google Play. Android 2.3.3 on Samsung Gio.

- If you have problems with particular transactions, what is your Bitcoin
address? If you happen to have transaction IDs, please state them as well.

- Please provide any additional information below.
Not sure what exactly triggers this behavior.
When I kill the program and wait a few seconds until it is fully connected and 
then long-press the exit button the connection indicator disappears.
When I use the program for a longer time (minutes to hours) it just doesn't 
exit anymore and does not perform transactions

Can you tell what you mean by "long-press" back button? On the phones I've used 
(mostly Nexus line) this has not got any special meaning.

Regarding your sent transaction, does it show up as unconfirmed in the 
transaction list?

I found out that with Bitcoin wallet "long-pressing" is the same as just 
pressing the button. Some programs though seem to exit when holding the back 
button.

Yes, it shows up as unconfirmed transaction. And it is performed when killing 
Bitcoin wallet with the task manager and than starting it again.

Long press to kill is a feature of that can be turned on from 
Settings>Development in some builds of ics. I have it for cm9 nexus s but not 
stock on Acer a500 .

I think the transfers not being relayed issue should long be fixed. The 
"Program won't exit" is just the sync mechanism running a bit longer than the 
app is in the foreground. You can disable the notification in the settings if 
you want.

I'm now closing this issue.
