Blockchain wastes to much internal space. #90

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Installing the app
2. Starting, it downloads the blockchain
3. Blockchain download stops (at 57 weeks left), because my internal ram is
nearly full.
5. I can't recive any payment I startet

What is the expected output?
I don't know, maybe that my payment comes in?!

What do you see instead?
The app needs nearly 15 MB RAM for the (uncompleted) Blockchain! I don't have
any other app which uses so much space. Isn't it possible to transfer those
data to the sd card?

What version of Bitcoin Wallet are you using?
2.01

On what Android version and
what phone?
HTC Desire; Android 2.3.7 (witch cyanogenmod-7.1.0)

If you have problems with particular transactions, what is your Bitcoin
address? If you happen to have transaction IDs, please state them as well.

Please provide any additional information below.

Hi, I have 3.08 (automatically upgraded from previous version) and it still
uses 23MB of internal memory. Do I need to reinstall it to use SD card for the
blockchain or it's possible to configure somehow?

You need to reset your blockchain once in order for the new block store to be
used. Options > Settings > Reset Blockchain
