[Feature Request] Ruby text

I have been using the program to insert Japanese words above difficult English 
words in subtitles for my ESL students in Japan. The way I have been doing it 
is to choose a font like courier new where all letters are equally sized, then 
left-aligning and using spaces liberally to place the japanese words above the 
english as so:

1                   先生
2 I am an English teacher

However, this is very time-consuming and not very precise. Also it is difficult 
to add the Japanese to 2-lined subtitles because there is a maximum of 3 lines 
available in the normal sub editor so I need to edit the source file to add a 
4th line in as such:

1                   先生
2 I am an English teacher.
3           字幕
4 I edit subtitles.

My life would be made a lot easier with the ability to use Ruby Text (usually 
this is used in Japanese to add pronunciation guides called Furigana to 
difficult kanji). I realise it's a very specific usage!

Could supply some "Ruby Text" sample files?
Also, perhaps a link to the "Ruby Text" specification?

Some examples and info can be found on this wiki article:

A website which incorporates Ruby characters nicely into Japanese text is this 
news site: http://www3.nhk.or.jp/news/easy/
I can attach a word document including some examples too, if you wish! I don't 
know if it can be implemented in .rtf but I know it can in .doc files.
