rg350m here. Same problem. EmulationStation works well if I just run it after boot up. But if I set the frontend_start script to run I get the bottom left corner for the display while everything is flickering.
Same here. I guess it's because OpenDingux reports 320x240 as screen resolution. I tried to add --resolution 640 480 to the desktop entry. The resolution then is 640x480, but scaled 2x. Also added X-OD-NeedsDownscaling=true (mentioned here http://www.gcw-zero.com/updates) without any effect.
" I guess it's because OpenDingux reports 320x240 as screen resolution." Yes I think so, I tried retro arch as a test, when lunching from OpenDingux's menu it would only do 320x240 no matter what I tried, however when loading from frontend script I could force it go into 640x480 it would flash like crazy though. I've never looked at rogue firmware but I wonder if it does the same on that, I might have a go if I get some time.
any fix or workaround for rg350m resolution?
Sorry my friend, development for EmulationStation is not continued anymore so it doesn‘t receive any changes for new devices. Just the configuration and themes can still be adapted.Cheers, ManuelAm 11.07.20 um 21:26 schrieb erath6870

I’ve tried some commands in the config file, but didn’t have success so far.
There is a workaround when it starts right into ES after bootup without entering the menu first.

Hi, RG350M resolution looks like its in 320x240 not 640x480, do you have any idea how to change it to be the correct resolution? I think its causing a issue with the boot straight to EmuStation as when I add the script to do it, it only appears in the bottom 1/4 of the screen and the rest flashes white (buffer issues on that part I think due to the resolution issue)
