add transport map layer #31

Thanks, but why should I add it? Layer switcher clutters interface, so I'd be more happy removing layers, not adding them. How would this layer help users of the site?

Right, I didn't see it this way, it adds an entry in the layer switcher.
The screen space taken by the layer switcher is not a problem for me (even on a small laptop screen), but it could be made collapsible if it's important to you. Less discoverable though.

The transport map is a nice feature, it allows you to check for public transportation stops and line numbers around a destination, bus coverage, etc. There are some nice tile layers available on https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tiles (eg this one) that could be added; I prefer a feature-complete map but if space is a problem the selector should be collapsible. (eg. only show the currently selected layer along with a "tiles" icon)

No, I think not. That's not even the best transport layer, it distorts small roads. Thanks for the suggestion though.
