I'm always frustrated when [...] If I am planning a new track for bicycling then I always would like to see the streetview screens which Google is offering to have a better understanding how the surroundig is looking at a certain point, if this is a busy or steep road and other info which helps me to plan the route.

Describe the solution you'd like A clear and concise description of what you want to happen. It is very easy to add a new entry on the already provided list of default entries and I think to add this entry would be very helpful. I figured out and tested the url below and would like that other users also can benefit from it. Clicking this link will open a webbrowser with the streetview on this position.

For this you have to rightclick on a certain location on the map and then select "Search Web for position" from there you have a list of default URLs and you can configure your own. I added the link below.

I am not a programmer and can not alter the base code. I managed to figure out how it can work by manually adding this entry and I would like to share this and have it as default so other users dont need to figure it out themselves.

• The request solves a fundamental problem for everyone
• The request is of general interest for many users

Bad reasons are:

• Because software xyz does it
• Because you just want it to have that way
• Because it will solve a very particular problem.

I recognize that streetview is not widely be available in Germany but in many other europaen countries it is.

I have added it to the contributed list of web services in the wiki FAQ.
Therefore from a next version it will appear in the offline help as well.

This list makes it easy to add only the services that each one needs with a copy/paste of the url.

Your welcome and thanks for adding it to the wiki. I was not aware of the other entries in the wiki. Perhaps it is an idea to mention in the configuration GUI that more services can be found in the wiki and an hyperlinkto the wiki FAQ si it can be easilier found by the users?

I recommend reading and searching the Wiki in the first place before asking others to spend their time

If you think something is missing in the Wiki please add it yourself. It's open, it's public.

I consider this ticket as done and close it. Of course you can reopen it if something hasn't been addressed.

Btw Do not delete any of the sections. does mean that you must not delete a section because you want to skip it for whatever reason. But of course it's kind of common sense (at least I consider it like that) to replace the explanatory text by your own.

It shouldn't be necessary to explain but these templates are a help to optimize the process of communication. They help you to provide all necessary information and it's a help for the developers to find it easily. So do you think the way you used the template really helped in that respect?
