Addresses a fast-follow-on item from #848 , namely "Reduce the spacing in the outliner by maybe a half"

This is something I wanted to in the outliner work, but it became even more evident, now that the side panels make more sense, that it'd be really good to have a bit more space in the outliner - that deeply-nested structures just don't have enough breathing room. Reducing the spacing helps a bit. A different design might also help, but at the moment I'm not sure what that would be and it's not that important.
