I want to insert my ship into a clearly specified orbit

Given orbital parameters, calculate the manoeuvres required to get there.

Classical parameters:

• longitude of ascending node
• inclination
• argument of periapsis
• periapsis
• semi-major axis
• mean anomaly at epoch
• epoch

Ideally I should be able to specify a highly elliptical orbit for one satellite, then set another satellite to an argument of periapsis 180° out, along with a mean anomaly at epoch 180° out, and have the two satellites in complementary over/under orbits to relay back to Kerbin without local planet or moon(s) getting in the way.

It should be possible to adjust planes (and thus LAN) by altering the orbital plane at an intersection point. So how do we find that?

Strategies for adjusting argument of periapsis:

• [ ] Circularise then drop periapsis at desired "argument of apoapsis"
• [ ] Alter the velocity vector at a shared position vector
• [ ] Bi-tangential elliptical orbit using a minimal energy orbit that is tangential to both the original and desired orbit
