optimize bootstrap defaults in NONR #12

bootstrap runs are currently forked, which allows some runs to disappear due to 
a known bug in RStudio.  No reason to fork them:  since they don't return 
(sync='n') they don't hang the console prompt if grid=TRUE; only cost is the 
time to get them on the grid, which is short.
