I kept getting errors about --disable-iptv not being supported immediately after the ./configure phase of the install. The build would then fail because there was not a mythtv.pro. Upon research, I noted that ./configure --help doesn't show anything iptv related... So I removed the two references to it in the ebuild and all built correctly.
