[x] Use TS types (perhaps in separate file) instead of JSDoc types
[x] Don't use the separate classes, just use plain objects

Not sure if this counts as a breaking change (probably doesn't) but I would prefer this to be in 0.4.0 (so there' not going to be big config changes in 2 consecutive updates, it's probably better to do them in 1 update).
