Use
.gitattributes
for automatic file normalization (issues like eb9b6c5dcdd724a06d0da10ccf0dd2788f292b98 will no longer be possible)
Normalize all files (with @MarcosLopezC as the commit author so
git blame
doesn't "reassign" the files to me)
Move
.gitignore
to the project root, so it's in a location more expected by users
