Shift + L, would be a default. but could be configured by the user in case other systems interfere.
Right now users can most easily access the gis nodes doing Alt+Space (Custom node Searching) and typing gis. The node classes add themselves to the Search feature by passing the node and its triggers and tooltips section of the docstring. The more accurately/clever we fill those in, the easier it is to quickly get a node into the view.
Shift+L, would be for when you don't know the names and features provided by nodes, it will just list all nodes by category.
