In any case opening the layer modal/dialog (hamburger button in the top right corner) will display the current layer configuration, a screenshot would be helpful.

PS: if you used the automatic determination of best aerial imagery on first use it may be that that source has problems or that you are in a region in which they don't actually provide coverage.

When entering Vespucci, I get an all green display background without any detail. Zooming in/out does no change this.
