Need to check CPUE methods #14

I am having trouble replicating the mean CPUE values for each INPFC area and for all districts combined. I think it is likely an issue with weighting. Paul, can you help me sleuth out how these mean CPUEs are calculated? I have the SQL script but don't know SQL well enough to decipher whether/how those means are weighted. If I could see this as an equation, that would be most helpful to me.

I assume that the area-wide mean CPUE is weighted by stratum area, correct? I.e., it follows this equation from Wakabayashi et al. 1985: image

Can you help me figure out if the INPFC-area-level mean CPUEs are also weighted? Maybe still weighted by stratum area within the INPFC area? This is to replicate the information in "Table 2" (screenshot pasted below): image
