I have the same issue
Same here
+1 Same to me with installed qt5-quickcontrols 2.12 under arch
What's your guys qt5-base package version? It should be at least 5.11 as stated in the requirements.
For me it was 5.12 for qt-base package
@mixedd69 Have you tried this since february?
I actually missed that it should be qt5-quickcontrols2
note the 2 at the end of the package name. I added this accordingly to the README.
Please report back.

Hi.
Sorry to insist on this. For context, I am an Linux user but I barely know how to use the terminal. So I am in a freshly installed Kubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, and I was experimenting with the customization themes. I tried a couple of Sugar ones (I downloaded from within the Kubuntu's own settings interface - Startup and Shutdown" > "Login Screen (SDDM)" > "Get New Theme"), which looked amazing, but I got this precise error. It only happens with the "Sugar" themes.
I searched a bit and noticed that on Sugar Candy page you have a text about the dependencies and how to make sure we have everything we need. So I followed it, went to the terminal and typed: sudo apt install --no-install-recommends sddm qml-module-qtquick-layouts qml-module-qtgraphicaleffects qml-module-qtquick-controls2 libqt5svg5
Everything seems fine there: libqt5svg5 is already the newest version (5.9.5-0ubuntu1). qml-module-qtgraphicaleffects is already the newest version (5.9.5-0ubuntu1). qml-module-qtquick-controls2 is already the newest version (5.9.5-0ubuntu2). sddm is already the newest version (0.17.0-1ubuntu7). qml-module-qtquick-layouts is already the newest version (5.9.5-0ubuntu1.1).
But I still get this error. Thanks!
@EdSantos754 Thank you for insisting, nothing to be sorry about. It is an issue, and I'm still trying to figure it out. Please follow this issue for up to date contributions to the discussions.
