good
I got the initial functionality for the data portal enhancements working last night!
Still some cleanup work and finalization, but I hope to have a preview release online in a week or so.
@tfreitasleal CSLA 5 should provide some interesting opportunities to update your code generator - at least that's my positive outlook 😄
Hi @rockfordlhotka , I saw you just announced CSLA v5 pre-release on https://github.com/MarimerLLC/cslaforum/issues/788 As v5 is supporting .NET Core 3, do you plan the final v5 version to includ Csla.Windows and Csla.Xaml for .Net Core? I checked today, it seems the master only include .NET4 / .NET4.5 and .NET4.6 as of today. Is it in your plan? Regards
@GillesBer - Time permitting, yes.
My focus right now is on the new data portal features and any other basic requirements for CSLA to work in .NET Core 3.
I haven't had time to see how or if the Csla.Windows and Csla.Xaml projects will work within .NET Core 3. I do know that's important and needs to happen, but there's only one of me 😄
On the upside, this is open source - so if you, or anyone else, has the time/interest to explore creating a Csla.Windows.NetCore3
project that compiles the existing code (??) that'd be pretty wonderful!
Last week at Build Microsoft announced a timeline for .NET Core 3 - which is September 2019.
As a result we now have a timeline for CSLA .NET version 5.0, as I hope to release it very close in time to Microsoft's release of .NET Core 3.
