I uploaded WOA data for NO3,PO4, and Silicate to GPC. Should be able to find in /data/shared/marinov/data/WOA_Data. I was unable to find recent data for NH4 on WOA. It would also be helpful to check if this data contains surface and 200m data because I just downloaded the general ('all') data for the nutrients which contains annual, monthly and seasonal data. This data can also be uploaded to Pangeo but will take a bit of time to upload and will have to be done individually I think.
Plots comparing CMIP6 values with surface observed NO3 and Silicate from WOA have been added to my powerpoint
For Ethan: *Can you upload onto the GPC the latest climatologies of nutrients (NO3, NH4, PO4, Silicate) from the World Ocean Atlas? NO3 (x,y, time) for the surface and 200m. Question here: Will there be enough room on Pangeo so you can put this data there, so you can do this all on Pangeo?
For Jonathan: across CMIP5:
Next you can work on ratios: the NO3_surface/NO3_200m, silicate_surf/Si_200m across models, seasonal cycles. Calculate any ratios at the smallest possible grid and time unit (1degree lon by 1degree lat), then do the averaging across multiple latitudes/longitudes for each of your boxes.
Replot all previous plots for 3 boxes, 1 Pacific box and 2 Atlantic boxes -- for the Jan 1991- Dec 2010 period please, and curious if the results will look any different from the 1995-2014 ones you were plotting before.
